Spicy oven-roasted sweet potato fries

2 large sweet potatoes, about 2 lbs., sliced into large wedges or sticks, about 4 inches long

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 teaspoons salt

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon garlic on onion powder

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper or chipotle powder

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Place sweet potatoes in a large bowl and toss them in the oil, salt and spices.

Spread them onto 2 large baking sheets.

Bake for 20 minutes then gently flip with a spatula. Bake another 20 minutes until very soft and starting to brown on the edges.

Let cool a few minutes before serving.
