SNAP/HIP Updates
As of our reopening January 3rd, 2022, we are experiencing a gap in SNAP/HIP coverage.
Separating our two businesses (farm and store) meant that we needed to apply for separate SNAP and HIP authorization. We were reauthorized for SNAP in early January, and are still working on getting HIP reinstated.
We are currently waiting for our SNAP processing machinery to arrive at the store, at which time we’ll be able to process SNAP once again. HIP will still be unavailable for the time being.
In the interim, we are setting up a Community Fund to support our customers’ access to fresh, healthy food. Anyone who asks to use the Community Fund will be able to apply up to $40 toward their purchase of fresh fruits and veggies (same eligibility guidelines as HIP— no added salts, oils, or sweeteners), provided that there’s money in the fund.
Anyone can donate to the Community Fund in-store or here: Atlas Farm Store Community Fund. Funds will be available to customers as soon as we have SNAP up and running again.
Please check back here for updates on SNAP/HIP. Thanks!
